FAQ
What UAE academy owners ask
Does it track belts and stripes?
Yes. Each program has its own ordered belts, and each belt can have stripes. A student holds one belt per program, so the same student can be a blue belt in BJJ and a beginner in Muay Thai.
How does it know who’s ready to grade?
For each belt you can set a minimum number of classes since the last promotion, a minimum time at the belt, and a skills checklist. Students who meet every rule are flagged. Promoting someone early is allowed, with a warning, and it’s recorded.
Can students pay the grading fee in the app?
Yes. Invited candidates see the grading in their app and pay the fee there by card, in AED. You see who has paid before the day, and results go out to the app once you record them.
Who licenses martial arts academies in Abu Dhabi?
A resolution issued on 23 September 2026 gives the Abu Dhabi Sports Council the mandate to license sports establishments and accredit sports professionals in the emirate. Its detailed regulations are still to come, so confirm the current process with the Council.
Do instructors in Dubai need to be registered?
Yes. Under Executive Council Resolution No. 1 of 2020, coaches and professional staff must be on the Dubai Sports Council’s register to work at a sports establishment, and the establishment must keep a record of them. Each instructor’s profile holds their certifications.
Can I keep kids and adults in separate classes?
Yes. Give a class an age range and students outside it can’t book themselves in. Belt-only classes work the same way, so a competition class can be blue belt and up.
Can I move from Zen Planner, Spark, Kicksite or a spreadsheet?
Yes. Send us the student export and we import your students with you, then set up your programs, belts and memberships in AED on a call. Starter belt templates are there to edit.
Does it handle UAE VAT?
Yes. Add your TRN in settings and every payment gets a tax invoice with 5% VAT, in AED. Not registered yet? Invoices go out without VAT until you add one.
Why is the price in US dollars?
We bill the software in US dollars. Your members pay you in AED, and their invoices are in AED.
