Permits, coaches,VAT and records
Work within your DSC permit
Executive Council Resolution No. 1 of 2020 sets the rules for sports establishments in Dubai. You operate under a Dubai Sports Council permit, and you can’t add an activity that isn’t on it without the Council’s approval.
Coaches must be on the Register
Registration in the Dubai Sports Council’s register is a prerequisite for coaches and professional staff to work at a sports establishment. You can’t hire anyone who isn’t on it.
Keep a record of your coaches
The same resolution says you must keep an up-to-date record of your coaches and follow up on their registration. REPs UAE certification is commonly asked for too; check the current requirement with the Council.
5% VAT, five years of records
Registration is mandatory once taxable sales pass AED 375,000 a year. Keep VAT records for five years, or seven if they also back your Corporate Tax return.

Do Dubai trainers need to be registered?
Yes. Under Executive Council Resolution No. 1 of 2020, coaches and professional staff must be on the Dubai Sports Council’s register to work at a sports establishment, and the establishment must keep a record of them.

Can members pay online?
Yes — renewals and dues are paid by card in the member app, through Stripe or Nomod, settled to your own account. Cash and bank transfers are recorded at the desk.
Why is the price in US dollars?
We bill the software in US dollars. Your members pay you in AED, and their invoices are in AED.
