Honest comparison

ManageYourGym vs PushPress

PushPress has a genuinely free plan and no member caps, so for a small box watching cash it is very hard to argue against. We become the better answer once the add-ons start stacking — their branded app, CRM and workout tracking are all priced separately, where our equivalents sit inside the plan — and if personal training rather than group programming is your main revenue.

The problem you are actually trying to solve

You started on something free or nearly free, and it worked. Then you wanted the app with your own name on it, and a way to chase leads, and workout tracking for the PT clients — and each of those turned out to be its own line on the invoice.

Now you are trying to compare a low headline price plus three add-ons against a higher headline price with fewer of them, and every vendor page is designed to make that arithmetic hard.

Two different shapes. PushPress leads with a free plan and no member caps, and that free plan is real — if you are a small box with tight cash, it is genuinely the better deal and we do not have an answer to it. What the headline hides is that the free tier is paid for in card processing: 4.99% + $0.30 against 2.89% on Pro. On ₹5 lakh a month of card volume that spread is worth far more than the subscription. Our payments run through your own Razorpay or Stripe account at whatever rate you negotiated, and we take nothing. Above the free tier the comparison flips: their Pro is $159 against our $79 and their Max is $229 against our $169. Then the add-ons decide it — a branded app is $81–$97/mo with them and included with us, while the things they charge extra for that we simply do not have are workout tracking (from $79/mo) and the Grow CRM ($329/mo). Add up only the modules you will actually switch on; the totals move a long way depending on which three you pick.

How the money side runs with us

  1. 01

    Connect your own gateway

Razorpay or Stripe, under your own account, at your own negotiated rate. Payments settle directly to you and we take no percentage — the processing spread between tiers simply does not exist here.

  2. 02

    Members pay from the app

Dues, renewals, plans and PT packages are all payable from the member app. Reminders go out over WhatsApp, SMS and email before anything falls overdue.

  3. 03

Trainers get paid from real sessions

Each closed session feeds the trainer’s payout under whichever model they are on — salary, per session, or a share of the package. Payslips come out of those same numbers.

  4. 04

The invoice is the whole invoice

The branded app, the reminder sequences and the analytics are in the plan. There is no add-on to switch on later at a separate monthly price.

When PushPress is the better choice

Every comparison page ever written says the author wins. Here is where we honestly do not.

You want a plan that costs nothing

PushPress has a free tier with unlimited members and we do not have anything like it. If cash is the binding constraint this month, take the free plan — just go in knowing the 4.99% card rate is where it is paid for.

You run a CrossFit box

PushPress was built for functional fitness, and it shows in the whiteboard, the leaderboards and the programming. We have none of that. If the daily score is part of your culture, we are the wrong product.

You sell programming as much as sessions

Their Train add-on does workout tracking and delivery. We hold fitness profiles and goals, not programmes. If the plan is the product you are selling, that gap is real.

You need a proper lead pipeline

Their Grow product is a real CRM with marketing automation. Our reminder sequences chase people who are already members; they do not chase people who are not. If your problem is filling the funnel rather than keeping it, they are ahead.

Questions people ask

PushPress has a free plan. Do you?

No. We have a 14-day trial with everything unlocked and no card, then $79 a month. Their free tier is real and has no member cap, so for a small gym with tight cash it is a better deal than ours. The trade is card processing — 4.99% + $0.30 on their free plan against your own negotiated rate with us.

Which one is cheaper overall?

It depends entirely on add-ons. Their Pro is $159 against our $79 and Max is $229 against our $169, so on subscription alone we are cheaper above the free tier. But if you need workout tracking or a CRM, they sell those and we do not have them at any price. If you need a branded app, it is $81–$97 a month there and included here.

Do you take a cut of my payments?

No. You connect your own Razorpay or Stripe account and the money settles directly to you. We never touch it and we do not mark up the processing rate.

Do you do workout programming?

No. We hold member fitness profiles, goals and history, but we do not deliver workout programmes. PushPress does through its Train add-on. If that is central to how you coach, it is a genuine reason to pick them.

What does ManageYourGym do better?

The trainer side of a facility. Three compensation models rather than none published, a session ledger so a package balance is never in dispute, a native trainer app, and payout reporting per trainer. Plus live occupancy, WhatsApp on every plan, and GST-compliant billing for India.

Is ManageYourGym a good fit for a CrossFit box?

Honestly, less so than PushPress. We do classes, capacity and waitlists well, but we have no whiteboard, no leaderboards and no programming. For a box those are not extras.
