Boxes leave PushPress for one of three reasons: the add-ons cost more than the plan, the free tier's card rate eats into every membership, or workout tracking stops at 20 clients unless you pay again. If it's the add-ons, ManageYourGym puts the WOD, scores, leaderboards, PRs and a member app under your box's name into every plan, at $79, $169 or $349 a month, and payments run through your own Stripe or Nomod account.
Below are six other alternatives, Arbox, GymMaster, Kicksite, TeamUp, Wodify and Zen Planner, sorted by the reason you're leaving. Every price was read from the vendor's own pricing page on 29 October 2026, on monthly billing. Then one 180-athlete box priced on each, and a checklist for getting your members and scores out before you switch.
What does PushPress cost in 2026?
PushPress publishes its whole ladder, which is more than most of this list does. There are three plans, all with unlimited members and staff. What changes between them is the card rate and the support:
| Plan | Monthly | Card processing | ACH |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 4.99% + $0.30 | 2.89% + $0.30 |
| Pro | $159 | 2.89% + $0.30 | 0.79% + $0.30 |
| Max | $229 | 2.75% + $0.30 | 0.79% + $0.30 |
Read from pushpress.com/pricing on 29 Oct 2026. Max is described as the plan for multi-location and large gyms; the page gives no location count.
Then come the add-ons, which is where most of the bill sits. The FAQ on the same page lists Train (workout tracking) at $79 a month for up to 20 clients, the Branded App at $97 a month, Grow (CRM, email and SMS, websites) at $329 a month, and everything together as Full Stack at about $559. Basic workout programming is in the free plan. Score logging and benchmarks need Train Pro.
Why boxes look for a PushPress alternative
Nothing above is hidden, and the free tier is real: a new box can run on it for months without a subscription. The problems show up as the box grows.
- The add-ons stack. A box that wants scores on a leaderboard, its own app and lead follow-up is paying for three add-ons on top of a plan. PushPress bundles everything as Full Stack, about $559 a month, before card fees.
- The free plan is paid for in card fees. At 4.99% + $0.30, a $200 membership costs $10.28 to collect. Across 150 members that's about $630 a month more than Pro's card rate would cost, nearly four times the price of Pro.
- Workout tracking is metered by client. Train's published price covers 20 clients. A box wants every athlete logging the WOD, not 20 of them.

Read from each vendor's own pricing page on 29 Oct 2026, monthly billing. Wodify was offering $100 off every month to boxes that book a demo by 31 Oct 2026 ($99 / $199 / $399); the table shows its regular prices. Zen Planner's figures are "starting at" and rise with active members. TeamUp shows its other bands only when you pick one. Card processing is extra everywhere.
What one box pays on each
Take one box: a single location, 180 active members, a full class schedule, every athlete logging the WOD, and a member app under its own name. Here's the monthly bill on each published price.
| Platform | Monthly | How we got there |
|---|---|---|
| Zen Planner | From $138, plus SugarWOD | Studio from $99 plus the $39 app; scores run through SugarWOD, priced separately |
| ManageYourGym | $169 | Professional covers 500 members; WOD, leaderboards and member and coach apps included |
| GymMaster | $279, plus $450 setup | Advanced $129 plus the $150 app; no WOD scoring on the page |
| Arbox | $299 | Professional is the plan with the branded app |
| PushPress | $335 and up | Pro $159, the $97 app and Train from $79 (20 clients); score logging needs Train Pro, price not shown; Full Stack is about $559 |
| TeamUp | $387 | $189 for 101–200 active customers, plus the $99 app and the $99 Perform add-on |
| Wodify | $199 and up | Essentials plus the Performance Tracking and branded-app add-ons (prices not shown), or Ultimate $499 with tracking included |
A box this size sits above our Starter cap of 150 members, so Professional is the honest comparison. Under 150 members, the ManageYourGym figure is $79. Zen Planner's starting price moves up with active members.
So Zen Planner can come in lower on paper, if SugarWOD is already on your bill and your member count keeps you near its starting price. On everything else, the plan with the WOD and the app included is the cheaper one, and the gap grows with every add-on you'd otherwise buy.
If the add-ons are the problem
Look for a plan where the things you actually use are in the price. That rules out most of this list, because the branded app and workout scoring are add-ons almost everywhere: $97 at PushPress, $99 each at TeamUp, $39 plus SugarWOD at Zen Planner, an unpriced add-on at Wodify, $150 plus setup at GymMaster.
On ManageYourGym, coaches write the WOD from the coach app or the dashboard, with RX and Scaled versions and forty benchmarks ready to program. Athletes log time, rounds or load and land on the day's leaderboard, with fist bumps and comments after class. PRs are spotted the moment a score is saved, in kilos or pounds. It's all in the plan, along with class booking with caps and waitlists and the member app. Here's how it's set up for a box, and for a box in the UAE, with AED memberships and VAT invoices.
If card fees are the problem
This is the one reason that's easy to miss, because the free plan looks free. Work out what you collected last month by card and multiply by 4.99%, then add $0.30 a payment. If that number is bigger than a paid plan, the free plan is the expensive one.
Most alternatives let you bring your own processor or offer several. On ManageYourGym, members pay by card in the app through your own Stripe or Nomod account (or Razorpay in India), at the rate you agree with them, settled to you. We don't take a cut of the payment.
If you run more than one location
PushPress points multi-location gyms at Max ($229) without saying how many locations it covers. GymMaster and Mindbody charge per site. TeamUp's FAQ says one account covers unlimited locations. ManageYourGym's Professional plan covers up to three branches and 500 members for $169, and Enterprise is unlimited for $349, with revenue per branch and staff who see only their own. We've compared every option in the best multi-location gym software.
What each alternative is built around
- Arbox: gyms and studios, priced by weekly sessions, with a free plan for a small timetable (Arbox alternatives).
- GymMaster: gym software sold alongside its own 24/7 door access, which adds $40 a month to each plan (how it compares with us).
- Kicksite: martial arts schools, with belt tracking and every feature on every tier, priced by active students.
- ManageYourGym: boxes, gyms and studios on one plan: the WOD, leaderboards, PRs, class caps, memberships, on-ramp and drop-ins, PT and coach pay, with your own app on every tier.
- TeamUp: class and appointment studios, priced by active customers, with unlimited locations (TeamUp alternatives).
- Wodify: functional fitness gyms, with waivers on every plan, belt tracking from Accelerate up, and Wodify Perform on Ultimate.
- Zen Planner: gyms and martial arts schools, priced by active members, with SugarWOD for the WOD.
Leaving PushPress: a switching checklist
- Export your members while the account is live: name, contact, plan, status, next billing date and any balance owed.
- Write down every plan and drop-in you sell, with its price and billing day, so the new system bills on the same dates.
- Export what members care about most: benchmark times and lift PRs. Ask PushPress what Train can export before you cancel, because a box that loses its Fran history hears about it.
- Plan for cards. Saved cards sit with the payment processor and usually don't move to another one, so members add a card again in the new app. Tell them why before they're asked.
- Pick the switch date at the end of a billing cycle, and send the new app link that morning.
- Run both for one billing cycle if you can, read-only on the old one.
We move everything for you — members, plans, balances and history. Benchmarks are already loaded, so the first WOD in the new app can be Fran.
Which PushPress alternative should you pick?

Frequently asked questions
How much does PushPress cost?
PushPress has a free plan, Pro at $159 a month and Max at $229, read on 29 October 2026. Add-ons are extra: Train (workout tracking) at $79 a month for up to 20 clients, the branded app at $97, Grow at $329, or about $559 for everything. Card processing runs from 4.99% + $0.30 on the free plan to 2.75% + $0.30 on Max.
Is PushPress really free?
The software is, with unlimited members. The cost is in processing: 4.99% + $0.30 a card payment on the free plan, against 2.89% + $0.30 on Pro. On $30,000 a month of card payments, that difference is about $630 a month.
What is the best PushPress alternative for CrossFit boxes?
One that includes the WOD and the app instead of selling them separately. ManageYourGym includes WOD programming, RX and Scaled leaderboards, PRs, forty benchmarks and a member app under your name on every plan, from $79 a month. Wodify includes performance tracking on Ultimate ($499) and sells it as an add-on below that; Zen Planner uses the SugarWOD add-on.
Can I keep my athletes' PRs and benchmark history when I switch?
Ask PushPress what Train exports before you cancel, and keep that file. On ManageYourGym, benchmarks are built in, every new score joins the athlete's history, and lift records sit with the athlete across WODs and coaching logs.
Does ManageYourGym work for martial arts schools too?
Yes. Each program gets its own belts and stripes, eligibility rules flag who is ready to grade, gradings take the fee in the app, and every promotion gets a PDF certificate. We switch ranks on for your account at setup. Here's how it works for an academy in the UAE.
