Mindbody Alternatives in the UAE (2026), Priced in AED

Mindbody is the name every Dubai studio knows, partly because ClassPass is part of the same company. But its upper tiers are quote-only, its own-name app isn't on the entry plan, and it bills in dollars. Here are the alternatives UAE owners actually shortlist, every published price in dirhams, one 180-member Dubai studio priced on each, and a checklist for leaving.

By Pranat Sharma

The best Mindbody alternative for a UAE gym or studio is one that shows you the price of the plan you'll actually need, includes a member app under your own name, and gives you tax invoices in AED with your TRN. ManageYourGym does all three for AED 290, 621 or 1,282 a month ($79, $169 or $349), with no setup fee and no contract. Mindbody's entry plan starts at about AED 364 per location, but its own-name app and upper tiers are priced by quote.

Below are the other alternatives UAE owners shortlist: Arbox, Gymciety, GymMaster, GymRoute, PushPress, TeamUp and WellnessLiving. Every price was read from the vendor's own pricing page on 19 October 2026 and converted at the dirham's fixed peg of AED 3.6725. Then there's a 180-member Dubai studio priced on each, the Glofox-or-Mindbody question, and a checklist for leaving. If you run a PT studio, our Mindbody alternatives for PT studios is written for you instead.

What does Mindbody cost in the UAE?

  • Starter: from $99 a month per location (about AED 364), with unlimited staff. Its FAQ quotes $79 in North America and Asia, so ask which rate applies to a UAE location.
  • Accelerate and Ultimate: no price on the page. You get a sales call.
  • Branded app (an app in your studio's name): not on Starter. It's an add-on on Accelerate and Ultimate, with no published price.
  • Setup: no setup fee on any plan.
  • The Mindbody app: when it brings you a client who's new to you, Mindbody takes 20% of their first purchase, capped at $30 (about AED 110).
  • Card payments: Mindbody offers its own payments service in the UAE; its pricing page says rates vary by plan.
  • Contract: its FAQ says the term "depends on your plan and billing terms", and that cancelling may need advance notice under your agreement.

So a UAE studio that wants its own app is budgeting for a quote, not a number. In dirhams, the visible part of the bill is AED 364 a month. The part you'd actually pay is whatever sales says.

Mindbody and ClassPass have been one company since 2021. That's a real reason Dubai studios pick it: Mindbody connects straight to ClassPass. It's also what makes leaving feel risky, so we'll come back to it in the checklist.

Why UAE studios and gyms leave Mindbody

  • They can't see the price of the plan they need. Starter is public. The tiers with the own-name app and spot booking aren't.
  • The marketplace cuts both ways. It brings new clients and charges for each one's first purchase. Some owners also don't like that clients browsing the app see every other studio nearby.
  • They're held to the agreement. Reviews on Trustpilot and Capterra describe owners who wanted to leave and were told the term ran on, which is why you read yours first.
  • Support is slow when it matters. Reviewers describe waiting on bugs with no fix date.
  • It bills in dollars. The peg keeps the rate steady, but your bank may still add a foreign transaction fee.

Mindbody is the best-known name in studio software, and lots of studios are happy on it. You're reading this, though, so one of those probably sounds familiar.

Mindbody alternatives in the UAE, in AED

Here are the alternatives UAE owners shortlist, with their published prices in dirhams. The column that matters most is what the price counts, because that's what moves you up a tier as you grow.

Read from each vendor's own pricing page on 19 Oct 2026, monthly billing, converted at AED 3.6725 and rounded. Gymciety is the only one that bills gyms in AED. Glofox, Momence and bsport publish no prices, and Zen Planner and PerfectGym publish only "from" prices, so they're not in the table. WellnessLiving was running an 80%-off-for-two-months offer to 31 Oct; the table shows regular prices.

What one Dubai studio pays on each

Prices only mean something on a real business. Take one studio in Dubai: one location, 180 active members on memberships and class packs, a full timetable, and a member app under its own name, because that's what members open every day. Here's the monthly bill on each.

Monthly billing, 19 Oct 2026, AED 3.6725 to the dollar. Card processing is extra everywhere. Under 150 members, the ManageYourGym figure is AED 290.

Over a year, that's AED 7,448 on ManageYourGym ($169 × 12) against AED 11,282 on the next-cheapest fully published option. If you don't want an app in your own name, the picture changes: Arbox Standard (AED 474), GymMaster Advanced (AED 474) and GymRoute Excel (AED 364) all come in under us for this studio. Our AED price guide prices a 150-member and a 400-member gym the same way.

Glofox or Mindbody?

It's the comparison Dubai studio owners ask about most, because they're the two names everyone has heard. Here's the honest version.

Mindbody pricing read 19 Oct 2026 (marketplace fee 24 Sep); Glofox pricing page read 2 Oct 2026; ClassPass partners from ClassPass's public listings, Oct 2026.

Mindbody's consumer app sends you new clients, for a cut of their first purchase. Both can put your logo on a studio app, at a price you only learn from sales. Most owners asking this question are really asking which one they can see the full price of. The answer is neither, which is the gap the alternatives above fill. Our Glofox alternatives post covers leaving Glofox.

What each alternative is built around

  • Arbox: gyms and studios priced by sessions a week, with a free plan for a very small timetable (how it compares with us).
  • Gymciety: built in Dubai, bills in AED, with a website included on gym plans. Priced by active members per location (compared with us).
  • GymMaster: gym software sold with its own door-access hardware. See GymMaster alternatives.
  • GymRoute: flat price with unlimited members, sold by features, with access control and the branded app as add-ons (compared with us).
  • PushPress: CrossFit boxes and functional gyms, with a free tier and a branded app add-on.
  • TeamUp: class and appointment studios, priced by active customers, with unlimited locations. See TeamUp alternatives.
  • WellnessLiving: studios and spas, with email and text marketing from the Business tier up. See WellnessLiving alternatives.

ManageYourGym — built for the UAE studio that wants it all on one price

We built ManageYourGym for gyms and studios that sell memberships, class packs and personal training under one roof. Classes have capacity limits and automatic waitlists. Class packs expire after the days you set, and a credit comes back when a member cancels before the cutoff. PT packages carry a live session balance the trainer and the client both see. See how it's set up for boutique studios and Pilates studios.

Members book and pay in an app published under your studio's name and icon, on the App Store and Google Play, on every plan. Cards go through your own Stripe or Nomod account, so the money settles straight to you at the processor's rate. Add your TRN and every payment gets a tax invoice with 5% VAT, in AED. Renewal and dues reminders go out on WhatsApp. Every tier is on the pricing page, and our Dubai page covers the rest of the local detail.

We move everything for you — members, plans, balances and history. You can keep Mindbody running alongside until you're sure.

Leaving Mindbody: a switching checklist

  • Read your agreement first. Write down the term, the renewal date and the notice period, and put the last day to give notice in your calendar.
  • Count where your new clients came from over the last six months: the Mindbody app, ClassPass, Instagram, walk-ins, referrals. That tells you what the marketplace is actually worth to you before you give it up.
  • Export your client list and sales history while the account is fully live, before you give notice.
  • Export what a client list misses: class pack credits left, PT sessions left, frozen memberships and their return dates, and any account credit. These are what members argue about after a switch.
  • Save your recurring class schedule, future bookings and each instructor's pay rates.
  • Keep signed waivers and intake forms as files.
  • Plan for cards. Saved cards usually can't move between payment processors, so members will add a card again in the new app. Tell them why before they're asked.
  • Pick a switch date at the end of a billing month, and not during the Dubai Fitness Challenge (31 Oct–29 Nov), when classes fill and new members walk in.
  • Send members the new app link on switch day, and keep the old login for read-only lookups until the notice period ends.
