Accept online payments at your gym
Connect your own Razorpay account to ManageYourGym and your members can pay their fees right inside the member app. The money goes straight to your bank account — it never passes through us. Five steps, about ten minutes.
How this works
You collect payments through your own Razorpay account. Razorpay is one of India's largest payment companies — the same checkout used by IRCTC, Swiggy, and thousands of other businesses. Once connected, a member taps Pay in the ManageYourGym member app, pays by UPI or card, and Razorpay settles the money into your bank account, usually by the next working day. ManageYourGym never holds your money.
The Payments page in your dashboard (Settings → Payments) walks you through the same five steps below, numbered the same way and using the same words — keep this guide open beside it.
Step 1 — What you'll need
- A laptop. You'll be copying codes between two windows — Razorpay in one, ManageYourGym in the other. Doing this on a phone is genuinely painful.
- About ten minutes, once your Razorpay account is approved.
- A Razorpay account with verification finished. If you don't have one yet, the next section walks you through it.
Getting your Razorpay account approved
Sign up at razorpay.com with your phone number and email.
When Razorpay asks for your business type, most gym owners should pick Unregistered / Individual — you don't need a registered company to accept payments. If you don't have a GST number, Razorpay has an explicit "I don't have a GSTIN" option — pick it.
You'll be asked for your PAN, your Aadhaar, and a bank account. This is standard verification (Razorpay calls it KYC) and usually clears in a day or two.
The number-one reason applications get rejected
The bank account you give Razorpay must be in your own name, exactly matching the name on your PAN card. Your gym's brand name — "Iron Paradise Fitness" — is only a display name; the account behind it must be yours. A current account in the gym's trade name will bounce unless the PAN matches. When in doubt, use your personal savings account.
Rejected anyway? Get Udyam registration and reapply
If Razorpay turns you down, register your gym on the government's Udyam portal (udyamregistration.gov.in) — it's free, fully online, takes about 15 minutes, and needs only your Aadhaar. That gives you a small-business registration number Razorpay accepts. Reapply with it and you're through.

Step 2 — Paste the two codes from Razorpay
Log in to the Razorpay dashboard on your laptop. First check the switch at the top of the dashboard says Live Mode, not Test Mode — Razorpay keeps a separate pair of codes for each mode, and you want the live ones. Then, in the left menu, open Account & Settings → API Keys and press Generate Key.
Razorpay shows you two codes: a key ID starting with rzp_live_, and a longer key secret.
The secret is shown exactly once
Razorpay shows the key secret one single time, on this screen. Copy both codes the moment they appear — into ManageYourGym, and somewhere safe. If you lose the secret, don't go hunting for it: it is not stored anywhere you can see it again. Just press Regenerate Key and use the new pair.
Now open ManageYourGym in your other window: Settings → Payments. Paste the two codes into the boxes on step 2 and press Connect.

Step 3 — Copy our two codes into Razorpay
The moment your codes are accepted, ManageYourGym gives you two codes back: a web address, and a secret code. Together they are the link that tells us the moment someone pays you — without them, we never find out a payment happened.
Back in the Razorpay dashboard: Account & Settings → Webhooks → Add New Webhook.
Paste our web address into the box called Webhook URL. Paste our secret code into the box called Secret.
In the long list of tick-boxes (Razorpay calls them events), tick exactly these two — copy them letter for letter:
payment.capturedorder.paid
Press Create Webhook.
Back in ManageYourGym, tick the box that says "I've saved this — both codes are pasted into Razorpay" and press Continue.
Like Razorpay's secret in step 2, our secret code is shown only once — right after you connect. If you closed the page without pasting it, paste your Razorpay codes again on step 2 of the dashboard: you'll get a new web address as well as a new secret code, so add them as a new entry in Razorpay and delete the old one — it's now pointing at a web address that no longer works.

Step 4 — Make a ₹1 test payment
This last step proves the whole chain works — your codes, our codes, and the connection between them — before any member touches it.
In the Razorpay dashboard, open Payment Links and create a link for ₹1. Open the link on your phone and pay it yourself with any UPI app.
The rupee lands in your own Razorpay account (and settles to your bank), and the moment it does, Razorpay tells ManageYourGym through the connection you set up in step 3. Your Payments page flips to "You're live — members can pay in the app". If it hasn't after a minute, press Check again.
Still nothing after a few minutes? The codes in step 3 probably didn't go in cleanly. Press Back to step 3. If your two codes are still on the screen, copy them into Razorpay again — you don't need new ones. If they've gone, press Paste my Razorpay codes again to get a fresh secret code and a new web address, add them as a new entry in Razorpay, and delete the old one — it's now pointing at a web address that no longer works. Either way, tick the box, press Continue, and back on step 4 press Check again, or make a fresh ₹1 payment if it's been a while.
Step 5 — You're live
From now on, members with dues see a Pay button in the member app. One tap, they pay by UPI or card, the money goes to your Razorpay account, and the payment appears in your ManageYourGym dashboard automatically — no front-desk entry, no screenshots on WhatsApp.
Want to practice with no real money first?
Razorpay has a practice mode — the dashboard calls it Test Mode, with a switch at the top. Flip it, generate keys the same way (they start with rzp_test_ instead of rzp_live_), and connect those in Settings → Payments. Everything behaves identically, but no real money moves — Razorpay gives you pretend cards and UPI IDs to pay with.
While practice codes are connected, ManageYourGym shows a Practice mode badge on the Payments page so you can't forget. When you're ready for real payments: switch Razorpay back to Live Mode, generate live keys, connect them, and redo step 3 with the fresh codes — you'll get a new web address as well as a new secret code, so add them as a new entry in Razorpay before you make the real ₹1 payment.
Ready to connect?
Open your dashboard and the Payments page will walk you through the same five steps. You'll need to be logged in as the gym owner — other staff logins won't see this page.
