Honest comparison

ManageYourGym vs AdviceFit

AdviceFit is cheaper at every published tier — sometimes by more than half — and its Freemium plan is genuinely free, not a trial. We are the better fit once personal training is a real revenue line rather than a side feature: trainer pay that is not a single commission field, a session ledger, and a native trainer app the trainer actually closes sessions from.

The problem you are actually trying to solve

You are comparing two Indian products built around the same word — engagement — and both promise renewal reminders, WhatsApp follow-ups and a member app. AdviceFit leans harder into AI-flavoured language: “AI-assisted insights”, “AI-generated” workout and diet content. Whether that AI does anything a good reminder rule does not is hard to tell from a pricing page.

The real test is what happens once you try to run personal training as its own business inside the gym — packages, session balances, and paying a trainer on a model that is not a flat commission percentage. That, and the price: AdviceFit’s numbers are a fraction of ours at every tier they publish.

Take the sticker prices first, because they are not close: AdviceFit’s Basic is ₹900 a month for 150 members against ₹1,499 for our Starter at the same cap — about 40% less. Move up to 500 members and the gap widens: their Professional (their own recommended plan) is ₹1,000 a month, ours is ₹2,499. Even their Enterprise plan, capped at 2,500 members, is ₹1,500 a month against our uncapped ₹9,999. If price per member is the only question, AdviceFit wins it at every tier they publish. Two things the sticker price does not show. First, AdviceFit’s tiers cap staff seats as tightly as members — 5 staff on Basic, 10 on Professional — so a gym running more front-desk and coaching staff than that would hit that ceiling before the member cap ever matters. Second, above 2,500 members AdviceFit moves you to “Enterprise+” and a negotiated quote, where our Enterprise stays a flat ₹9,999 a month with no cap and nothing to negotiate. Both run in rupees and both offer month-to-month billing.

How a member’s first month runs on ManageYourGym

  1. 01

    A member joins

The front desk records the plan, takes payment through your own Razorpay or Stripe account, and a GST invoice goes out with your own numbering series.

  2. 02

    The floor checks itself in

Members scan a QR at the door from their own phone. Live occupancy tells you how full the floor is before you walk onto it — no biometric device to install or maintain.

  3. 03

    PT runs alongside membership

A trainer sells a package, books sessions against it, and closes each one from their own app on the floor. The remaining balance is never a WhatsApp argument.

  4. 04

    The month closes itself

Renewals, dues and trainer payouts compute from the records the floor already produced. Trainer earnings follow whichever compensation model that trainer is on.

When AdviceFit is the better choice

Every comparison page ever written says the author wins. Here is where we honestly do not.

You want the cheapest price per member

AdviceFit is cheaper at every tier they publish — about 40% less at 150 members, and well under half at 500. If cost per member is the deciding number, buy AdviceFit and stop reading.

You want a plan you can stay on for free

Their Freemium plan is real — ₹0, forever, up to 25 members and 5 staff. We only offer a 14-day trial; after that you are on a paid plan no matter how small the gym.

Your attendance already runs on biometric hardware

AdviceFit integrates ESSL, ZKTeco and Realtime devices natively. We do not — we went the QR route on purpose. If you have already bought the hardware and your members are used to it, we are asking you to throw that away.

You want your members logging their own food

We build diet plans — meals assembled from a food search covering the USDA library and Indian staples, assigned by weekday, ticked off by the member, exportable as a branded PDF. AdviceFit does that and also keeps a nutrition log of what the member actually ate. If that diary is what you are after, it is theirs, not ours.

Questions people ask

Is ManageYourGym cheaper than AdviceFit?

No — AdviceFit is cheaper at every tier they publish. Their Basic plan is ₹900 a month for 150 members against our ₹1,499 Starter; their Professional is ₹1,000 a month for 500 members against our ₹2,499 Professional. If price per member is what you are optimising for, AdviceFit wins it.

Does AdviceFit really have a free plan?

Yes, and it is not a trial. Freemium is ₹0 forever, capped at 25 members and 5 staff. We only offer a 14-day trial — after that every gym is on a paid plan, whatever its size.

Do you integrate biometric attendance devices?

No. We use QR check-in from the member’s own phone instead, on purpose — fingerprint readers fail on wet or damaged hands and cost money to keep alive. AdviceFit integrates ESSL, ZKTeco and Realtime devices; if you already own the hardware, that is a real reason to pick them over us.

Do you offer nutrition or diet plans?

Diet plans, yes. A trainer builds the day’s meals from a food search covering the USDA library and around two hundred Indian staples, assigns a day variant to each weekday, and the member ticks meals off in their app or takes a gym-branded PDF away. Nutrition logs — the member recording what they actually ate — we do not do, and AdviceFit does.

Which one pays trainers better?

We do, on the paying-them side specifically. AdviceFit’s public material does not describe a trainer compensation model at all beyond a general coaching workspace. We run three — fixed salary, per-session or per-class rates, and revenue share on PT packages — with per-trainer payout reporting and a native trainer app.

Can I move my gym across from AdviceFit?

Yes. Members, plans and payment history can be imported, and we do the migration with you rather than handing you a CSV template. Ask before you commit — it is the part most people underestimate.
